¿What are the steps to follow when traveling with unaccompanied minors?

Request the service prior to flight departure or at the time of booking at our sales offices or at the airport counter.
Payment for the unaccompanied minor service can be made at our sales office or at the airport counter.
Please note that the airline cannot guarantee the provision of special services if the requirements are not met.
For everyone's peace of mind, the family member or guardian should not leave the airport premises until the flight has taken off.
Travel restrictions for unaccompanied minors

- Under 5 years old
They are not allowed to travel alone. They must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent, legal guardian, or designated companion) who is at least 18 years old.
- Children under 5 and 13 years old
They are considered unaccompanied minors. They may travel alone only if the unaccompanied minor service is purchased. They may also travel with a companion aged 14 or older, in which case the service does not apply.
- Children from 14 years old
They are allowed to travel alone on direct flights. The unaccompanied minor service is optional for passengers in this age group.

Requirements and guidelines for unaccompanied minors

Documents required:
All unaccompanied minors must carry all documents required by the legal provisions of the city of origin and destination of their trip. It is recommended that you check with the appropriate authorities to ensure that these requirements are met.
Pets and medical conditions:
Unaccompanied minors may not travel with pets. If a minor has a special medical condition or is undergoing medical treatment, he/she will not be allowed to travel unaccompanied by a responsible adult, unless he/she presents a medical document authorizing his/her travel.
Carry-on luggage:
Unaccompanied minors must not carry hand luggage that they cannot guard. SkyHigh Dominicana is not responsible for the contents of the minor's carry-on baggage or any valuables carried by the minor. In addition, no excess baggage or additional items are allowed in the hold.
Reception at the destination:
When the child arrives at his or her destination, the person who is to receive the child must show documentation that identifies him or her as the person indicated on the attached form.
Important information for unaccompanied minors
Ensure safe travel for your unaccompanied minor. Provide the necessary details about who will take and receive the child at the airport, as well as the required documents.
The cost of this service is US$100.00 per trip, in addition to the value of the ticket.
- Name and relationship of the person who will bring the child to the airport.
- Telephone number of the residence and address of that person.
- Name and relationship of the person who will receive the child.
- Telephone number of the person's residence and office.
- Identity number or photo ID of the adult who will bring the child to the airport and of the adult who will receive the child.

- Note: Passengers should verify the necessary requirements with the competent authorities of their country of origin, as well as those of the country of destination to ensure that these requirements are met.
