Emotional Support Pet
What is an Emotional Support Pet?
They are animals necessary for the emotional well-being of the passenger during the flight or at their destination, and may or may not be trained for this purpose. Their benefits include:
- Reduce stress, anxiety and depression.
- Warning of possible seizures.
- Provide peace of mind to its owner.

Only dogs will be accepted as emotional support pets.
Only one (1) dog per passenger is accepted.
Notify 48 hours prior to your flight departure that you will be traveling with an emotional support animal.
The dog must not ride on the seats.
The pet must remain with the passenger at all times.
Medical document certified by a mental health professional certifying that the passenger certainly has a mental or emotional disability and needs an emotional support animal for the duration of the trip or at the final destination. The medical document must have the following conditions:
- Date of issue less than one year prior to the date of departure of the flight.
- Physician's signature and stamp with license information: date of issuance, state or jurisdiction and type of license.
- Proof of vaccinations and certificate of good health
- Documents required for entry into the country you are going to.
- Note: The value of the escort service with emotional support pet is US$100.00 + taxes. The dog may be denied boarding if it has bad odor, bad behavior such as barking, growling, attacking other passengers. If it does not comply with the travel conditions of the country where it is going, boarding must be denied until it meets the requirements of the country where it is going. The passenger is responsible for the costs corresponding to these changes.
