Traveling with pets
Here are the requirements and guidelines for traveling with your pets.
We at Skyhigh Aviation Services provide the service of transporting pets in the main passenger cabin. Permitted pets are dogs and cats. However, the transportation of pets and their acceptance will be subject to the approval of the government and health authorities at the ports of embarkation and disembarkation.
Conditions
In-cabin pet transportation service
- Maximum pet weight: 20 lbs.
- Only one (1) animal per cage or kennel.
- Only one (1) pet per passenger.
- The pet cannot travel without a passenger.
- Pets must be clean and odor free.
- We do not handle pets in the warehouse.
- Note: Does not apply to emotional support and assistance pets.
Cage or Kennel
Below, we provide more information about the kennels (kennels), allowed to travel with your pets in Skyhigh Dominicana:
The pet must remain inside the container during the entire flight.
The kennel must fit easily under the seat in front of the passenger and must meet the following measurements: 9“ x 14” x 14” (23cm x 36cm x 36cm).
The kennel should be flexible, ventilated and have enough space for the pet to move around.
¿What do I need to travel with my pet?
Prepare your pet for travel. Know the documentation and health requirements for a safe trip. Travel with your furry companion without worries!
- Passengers traveling with a pet must present at the airport counter: Rabies vaccination card, health certificate, animal health form and receipt of payment.
- The health certificate must be issued by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days prior to transport.
- Skyhigh Aviation Services is limited to transporting brachiocephalic (flat-nosed) breeds. These breeds have narrow airways due to their anatomy, which causes breathing difficulties.
- Note: Every pet transported implies a charge of US$100.00 + taxes. You can book this service through any of our electronic channels, commercial offices and airports.
Important: The use of pet tranquilizers is not recommended.

Assistance Pets
SKYhigh Dominicana accepts service or emotional support pets. These types of pets will not require the use of a cage or kennel, and must be on a leash.
